Quotes and Sayings of Muhammad (PBUH)

  1. If they place the Sun on my one hand and the Moon on the other, I shall not refrain from preaching the true religion of God, even if I have to pay for it with my life
  2. Fight and do not exceed the limits and be not unfaithful and so not mutilate bodies and do not kill children
  3. The man who plants a tree is blessed when people and birds are benefited by its fruits. A man was sent to Paradise, simply because he saved a thirsty dog from death by offering him water and the other was condemned, because he tied and starved a cat to death
  4. He who is not affectionate to God’s creatures and to his own children, God will not be affectionate to him. Every Muslim who clothes the naked will be clothed by God in the green robes of the Paradise
  5. Every good act is charity. Your smiling in your brother’s face is charity… putting a wanderer in the right path is charity; assisting the blind is charity; removing stones and thorns and other obstructions from the road is charity; giving water to the thirsty is charity
  6. A man’s true wealth hereafter is the good he does in this world to his fellowmen. When he dies, people will ask, what property has he left behind him? But the angels, who examine him in the grave, will ask, “what good deeds hast thou sent before thee?”
  7. The one who would have the worst position in Allah's sight on the Day of Resurrection would be a learned man who did not profit from his learning
  8. The ink of the scholar is holier than the blood of the martyr
  9. Nobody has ever eaten a better meal than that which one has earned by working with one's own hands
  10. May Allah's mercy be on him who is lenient in his buying, selling, and in demanding back his money
  11. There was a merchant who used to lend the people, and whenever his debtor was in straitened circumstances, he would say to his employees, 'Forgive him so that Allah may forgive us.' So, Allah forgave him
  12. A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection
  13. "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one.” People asked, "O Allah's Apostle! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing others."
  14. A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts reinforce each other
  15. Be afraid, from the curse of the oppressed as there is no screen between his prayer and Allah
  16. Whoever usurps the land of somebody unjustly, his neck will be encircled with it down the seven earths (on the Day of Resurrection)
  17. The most hated person in the sight of Allah is the most quarrelsome person
  18. Whoever controls his anger at a time when he is capable of letting it out, Allah, on the Day of Judgment, will call him to the forefront of all of his creatures and let him enter Paradise
  19. If Adam's son had a valley full of gold, he would like to have two valleys, for nothing fills his mouth except dust
  20. Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty and it is not withdrawn from anything but it makes it defective
  21. The one who looks after and works for a widow and for a poor person, is like a warrior fighting for Allah's cause or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all the night
