Pakistan: A Discussion on the Impending Security Crisis in Pakistan
It's true that we as a people have not enjoyed lasting periods of peace and stability. We have faced political upheavals, witnessed coups and secession and experienced all-out-wars, facing an enemy three-folds in size and manifolds in resources. Yet each encounter tended to unite our souls and renovate our spirits. We have rebuilt the nation from the debris of civil war and made it even stronger and more powerful in many respects.
But the events that are successively unfolding since September 11, pose a threat of a very different kind and scale. The magnitude of the problem threatens the very existence of the state and presents a very real danger of disintegration.
This section is dedicated to the unusual challenge that we face today as a nation.
